Our Story

13 & 14 August 2027

Pałac Ciekocinko · Gdańsk

A Letter to Our Guests

Dearest friends and family,

We’re celebrating our wedding in northern Poland at Pałac Ciekocinko, a palace in the forests along the Baltic coast, just outside Gdańsk. It’s a city dear to us, where our past, present and future meet, and we can’t imagine celebrating anywhere else, or without you.

All you have to do is get to Gdańsk, and we’ll be there to welcome you. We recommend arriving by Thursday, 12 August, when we’ll all meet up for an evening in the Old Town square. On Friday early afternoon, we’ll take everyone out to the palace for two nights of official celebration, and on Sunday we’ll bring you back to Gdańsk.

We know it’s a journey, but we promise it’ll be worth it. If you can, come a little early or stay a little longer, and make it part of a bigger trip around the Baltic and Central Europe with family or friends. We’ll keep adding travel ideas and details here, so check back often.

Thursday – Friday · Where we'll meet

Gdańsk

A port city on the Baltic Sea with more than a thousand years of history, colourful merchant houses along the Motława river, and the Long Market, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. The city saw terrible fighting in the 2nd World War, and its old town, left in ruins, was lovingly rebuilt. Known as the world capital of amber, it is also where the Solidarity movement was born in 1980.

This is where we'll all get together on Thursday evening, and where our transport to the palace will leave from on Friday.

Friday – Sunday · Where we'll celebrate

Pałac Ciekocinko

A beautiful country palace in the forests near Poland's Baltic coast, just northwest of Gdańsk, where we'll all stay and celebrate from Friday to Sunday.* The resort has its own stables and a wellness spa, and its restaurant, the Luneta & Lorneta Bistro Club, is featured in the MICHELIN Guide.

We fell in love with this coast in the summer of 2024, cancelled the rest of our trip to stay longer, and knew this was where we wanted to get married.

* Please don’t book rooms directly with the palace. We’ll arrange everyone’s rooms through the RSVP.

03Our Travel Guide

Gdańsk is easy to reach from all over Europe, so getting here can be part of the adventure. Here are our ideas for the journey, and for making a trip of it.

Chapter I · Getting Here

By Air

Fly via a European city

Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich and Warsaw all have short, frequent flights to Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport (GDN). Why not spend a few days in one of them on the way?

From the US: there are no direct flights, but one easy connection gets you here.

By Train

Come by rail

Direct trains from Warsaw arrive at Gdańsk Główny, right in the city centre, in about three hours, with connections from Kraków, Berlin and beyond. A lovely way to see the region.

By Road or Sea

Road trip or ferry

Drive along the Baltic coast through Germany or Poland, or sail overnight from Sweden to Gdańsk.

Chapter II · Make a Trip of It
